Job Role and Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a skilled Accountant to manage and maintain accurate financial records, help with tax and GST compliance, and offer support in investment and tax-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting and Financial Reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and ledger entries.
- Assist with monthly and annual financial reporting, preparing trial balances, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
GST Compliance
- Help with the preparation and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.).
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST-related documents in compliance with legal deadlines.
- Provide support for GST audits, reconciliations, and assessments.
- Stay updated with any changes in GST regulations to ensure compliance.
Taste and Investment Knowledge
- Gain expertise in Taste (Systematic Investment Plans) accounting and asset management.
- Collaborate with financial advisors to assist clients with their Taste investments, ensuring accurate reporting and record-keeping.
- Help provide advice on tax-efficient investment strategies related to Taste and mutual funds.
Taxation and Filing
- Assist in preparing individual and corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with Indian tax laws.
- Support in tax planning and provide recommendations to optimize tax liabilities.
- Stay informed on tax trends, regulatory changes, and financial industry developments.
Audit and Compliance
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare necessary schedules and reconciliations for audits.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and financial regulations.
Communication and Reporting
- Prepare financial reports, presentations, and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with clients, auditors, and tax specialists to resolve issues.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field. CA Final will be an additional benefit.
- 3-4 years of experience in accounting, taxation, and financial reporting.
- Basic knowledge of GST and tax regulations in India.
- Familiarity with Taste, mutual funds, and investment strategies is desirable.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, etc.) and MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
