About the Role

The Tax Senior Specialist will play a critical role in providing tax-related expertise and supporting the implementation of tax strategies aligned with SITA's business goals. This role involves delivering professional tax compliance, accounting, and reporting services while maintaining tax efficiency and alignment with both global and local requirements.


Key Responsibilities

As part of the SITA tax team, you will:

  • Provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to the business, ensuring adherence to new regulations and tax impacts.
  • Support the calculation of tax provisions and financial statement disclosures for both global and local records.
  • Prepare and review reconciliations of Tax Accounts, Tax GL accounts, and Revenue.
  • Be responsible for the company’s tax compliance, tax planning, and preparation of relevant tax returns in line with local tax regulations.
  • Work in collaboration with external tax advisors and the internal group tax team for direct taxes, indirect taxes, and transfer pricing (TP).
  • Lead tax audits and ensure timely resolution within the defined timelines.
  • Gather and ensure the accuracy of data for internal and external audits.
  • Monitor and follow up on tax refunds.
  • Work with other departments within SITA to ensure the accuracy of the data reported in tax returns.
  • Propose tax strategies and solutions specific to India’s operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process and operational efficiencies.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a tax environment, preferably from Big4 or a reputed MNC.
    • Certified Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
    • Ability to apply professional judgment and maintain integrity in decision-making.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
    • Proficient in spoken and written English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
    • Familiarity with financial systems such as Oracle/OBIEE (or similar systems) is highly desirable.
