Job Role and Responsibilities
Overview
This role involves executing both manual and automation test systems. The Senior Test Architect will plan, deliver, and manage the testing effort for each release or commitment. The role includes defining the scope of testing for each delivery and ensuring adherence to testing processes.
Key Responsibilities

Collaboration & Test Planning
- Work closely with the application team to develop the test plan strategy according to the RTM (Requirement Traceability Matrix).

Test Automation and Execution
- Create and update test data for automation scripts.
- Conduct SIT (System Integration Testing) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) execution.
- Oversee the test execution carried out by Junior Test Engineers (TEs).

Test Management
- Select appropriate regression tests and experiments for automation, following automation selection criteria.
- Report defects and work with engineers, business analysts (BA), and IT teams for defect resolution, ensuring SLA adherence.

Results & Reporting
- Provide walkthroughs of test results to stakeholders for sign-off.
- Maintain test resources and repositories.
- Document the testing process, including test planning, execution, and defect reporting.

Process Improvement
- Assist leadership in promoting best testing practices through regular knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Ensure proper communication with the test lead on issues affecting quality, schedule, or project budget.

Team Management
- Manage the timesheets and leave management for the team and yourself, supporting the Test Lead with RMG (Resource Management Group) data.
- Mentor junior team members and help in their growth and development.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skills & Experience
- Testing Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experience in software testing.
- Automation Tools: Certification in automation tools (preferred).
- Industry Experience: Experience in BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) or Telecom is a plus.
- Agile Methodology: Knowledge of Agile processes and methodologies.
- Reporting: Proficient in test reporting and defect tracking.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication, articulation skills, and decisiveness.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to lead small teams and ensure adherence to testing standards.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to drive processes and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Proficiency in test planning, execution, and defect tracking documentation.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
